Donna Lynas has been Director of Wysing Arts Centre since 2005. She was Curator at South London Gallery from 1999 to 2005, and Touring Exhibitions Organiser and then Curator at Modern Art Oxford, from 1995 to 1999. Before that she had studios in Reading and Dundee, having studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee.
Wysing was established in 1989 and completed a £1.7million capital development project in 2008. The centre is located in rural Cambridgeshire and has 10 separate buildings including studio buildings, specialist new media facilities, gallery, education facilities, a 17th century farmhouse and 11 acres of open space. Wysing aims to provide alternative environments and structures for artistic research, production and discovery.
Wysing hosts an ongoing series of artist residencies and retreats, out of which emerges gallery exhibitions, events, discussions, workshops, and an annual experimental music festival. Visit http://www.wysingartscentre.org for up to date news.
